FAQs & Policies
-
Keep an eye on each artist’s Instagram to see when they are booking and will be accepting tattoo proposals. When an artist is booking, their proposal request form will be available on the Booking page. Once the artist is no longer accepting applications you will receive an email whether your tattoo proposal was accepted or not for the current booking period.
Consultations are free and a great way to connect with your artist once they have accepted your proposal! They typically take 15-30 minutes and can be held in-person, through video chat, over the phone, or email. During this appointment you will discuss with your artist your idea, placement, size, price, number of sessions needed, how to prepare for your tattoo, and what to expect at your appointment.
A Deposit is required to secure each session booked and will come off of your tattoo total for the day booked. Deposits for Jenny and Zara are $200. Deposits for Rachel are $80. Guest Artists will request Deposits at their discretion.
Once booked, watch your email for updates from your artist!
-
All deposits are non-refundable. With at least one week’s notice, your deposit may be used to reschedule to another date in the next round of booking or be added to a cancellation waitlist. We allow up to two reschedules within 6 months from the initial tattoo appointment.
If you need to reschedule due to COVID-19 symptoms, contact with a known COVID-19 carrier, or positive test, you will NOT forfeit your deposit. It is best for your safety, and ours, if you contact us to reschedule.
If you are displaying any cold or flu symptoms, please reach out to have your appointment rescheduled and stay home to take care of yourself.
If you are more than a half hour late and do not notify us, we will assume you will not be coming to your appointment and we will need to reschedule your appointment and a new deposit must be put down. We understand life happens, but please let us know and be considerate of your artist.
-
Each artist’s rate is unique and pricing will be dependent on the level of detail, size, and time it will take to complete your piece. When your tattoo proposal is accepted, your artist will consult with you on your tattoo idea, discuss pricing, and answering any questions you may have.
Our Artist’s Hourly Rates:
Jenny $275/hr
Zara $250/hr
Rachel $150/hr
If you prefer to keep to a specific budget, please include that in your form, so that your artist can adapt the design to best fit your needs.
The studio accepts Debit and Credit Card payments, as well as, Cash. We DO NOT offer payment plans.
-
Each artist has their own process and will inform you at your consultation or at the time of booking when you’ll be able to view the artwork for your design.
Our artist’s typically will email you the artwork for your approval a day or two before your appointment. Artwork is created in the order of appointments and is typically not designed until the week of your appointment. We understand how excited you are to see what your new tattoo will look like, thank you so much for your patience!
One drawing (or if multiple pieces in one session, one drawing each) is included in your appointment. Minor changes to your design may be accommodated at the artists’ discretion. If the changes require a completely new drawing, more than one third of the drawing to be re-drawn, or excessive revisions, there may be an additional drawing fee or the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
We want you to love your new tattoo and cannot wait to create something beautiful based on your proposal and consultation for you! It's important to thoroughly consider your design before beginning the design process to help communicate your idea and vision.
-
Make sure you have given your artist any additional information, photos, measurements or references no later than a week prior to your appointment. Keep an eye on your email leading up to your appointment day for any questions during the designing process and artwork if your artist sends artwork ahead of time for review and changes.
Bring to your appointment a Photo ID that displays your Date of Birth and that confirms you are over 18 years old. *We will not be able to tattoo you without this.
Stay hydrated, eat well, and get lots of rest leading up to your appointment (as well as throughout the healing process).
Please refrain from drinking alcohol the night before or day of your appointment. You will kindly be asked to reschedule your appointment for another day if you come to your appointment under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The Day of Your Appointment, make sure to eat a good breakfast/lunch, and bring your favorite snacks. Don't worry, we have plenty of water, drinks, and snacks available for you as well. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (please seek advice from your physician in regards to medications). Please limit caffeine consumption, if you normally have a cup of coffee in the morning no need to skip it, but consume caffeine in moderation - especially when sitting for a long session - it can increase sensitivity, dehydration, and make you restless.
Feel free to bring any items that may make your session more comfortable - ear buds, a light blanket, stress ball, favorite snacks or lunch, book, kindle, etc...
You may bring one guest with you. We know how exciting it is to get a new tattoo, but please be respectful of the studio, other artists, and clients by only bringing one adult guest with you to your appointment. Please find care for young kiddos, we cannot allow children into the studio.
While service animals are welcome, no pets allowed.
-
Please arrive to your appointment on time. If you're running late please contact the studio or your artist to let them know. If you anticipate being more than 15 minutes late, please see our reschedule/cancellation policy.
You must bring with you a valid Photo ID (cannot be expired), displaying your age and that you are at least 18 years of age. You will not be tattooed if you do not bring your Photo ID with you. *We cannot tattoo you if you are under 18 years old, even with a parent's permission. Reference South Carolina Department of Public Health Regulation 61-111 Standards for Licensing Tattoo Facilities.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be provided with paperwork and consent forms to sign and complete. A copy of your photo ID will be attached to these forms showing you are over 18 years old before your tattoo can begin.
Once you're all done with paperwork, your artist will meet with you! They will show you the final artwork and stencil for your tattoo and discuss sizing and placement.
From there, your artist will clean and shave the area to be tattooed and stencil the design on your skin. Once you approve that the stencil is in the perfect spot and perfect size, they will show you their single use sterile and disposable tubes and needles before beginning.
Your artist will make sure you are as comfortable as possible during your session; communicating each step with your consent. Our studio is a safe place and we want to ensure you have a great experience while getting your tattoo. Please let your artist know if you need a break, water, a snack, to reposition (if possible for the location of the tattoo), special accommodation or anything else to make your session more comfortable!
Once your artist has finished your tattoo, they will give you time to view your new tattoo and make sure you love it!
Then, get ready for your closeup! With your permission, they will photograph your new tattoo for their portfolio and social media.
Now that your tattoo is all done, your artist will apply a bandage and go over aftercare and the healing process with you.
The final step is checking out with the studio. We accept debit, credit, and cash. Your deposit for that appointment date will be deducted from the cost of your tattoo session.
You will be provided with an aftercare package when you leave with the products you'll need to care for your healing tattoo.
Please contact your artist or the studio if you have any questions about the bandage or healing process. Even if you think it’s silly! We would much rather you send us a photo and ask us questions directly so that we can give you specific advice about healing your tattoo than risking the advice of the internet.
If you had a great experience, we would love for you to leave us a Google review!
-
